Joseph Roberts

Joseph Roberts

Headmaster

Joseph Roberts was born and raised in Aguascalientes, Mexico to missionaries who helped start a Christian school and Christian bookstores. He graduated from New Saint Andrews College in 2016 with a B.A. in Liberal Arts and Culture, and in 2017 with a M.A. in Theology and Letters. While in school, Joseph taught at White Horse Hall for two years. After graduation, Joseph taught Latin full-time for two years at Logos School in Moscow, Idaho. He has been the Headmaster of Lewis Clark Christian School since 2020.

Christopher Schlect PhD

Christopher Schlect, PhD, has worked in classical and Christian education for over thirty years. At his home institution, New Saint Andrews College, Chris is Director of the Classical and Christian Studies graduate program. At NSA he teaches courses in history, education, and classical rhetoric. He also teaches for Gordon College’s program in Classical Graduate Leadership, he chairs the Accreditation Commission for the Association of Classical and Christian Schools (ACCS), and he is a National Fellow in the Alcuin Fellowship. He has many years of classroom teaching experience in grades 7 through 12 at Logos School in Moscow, Idaho, where he also coached a high-achieving Mock Trial team. Today he serves classical and Christian schools worldwide through his teaching, consulting, and training activities. Chris and his wife, Brenda, have five grown children, all products of a classical and Christian education, as are all their spouses. The number of their grandchildren continues to grow—a testimony to God’s kindness.

Tim Griffith is a Fellow of Classical Languages at New Saint Andrews College. He teaches Latin, oversees the college’s language program, and is director of both the Institute for Classical Languages and the Universal Latin Exam. He has dedicated the last 20 years to learning how to teach Latin better in a modern context, drawing heavily on the work of the great Latin educators of history such as Erasmus, Commenius, and W\.H.D. Rouse. He is the founder of Picta Dicta, a hybrid digital-print publisher of curricula and supplements for teaching classical languages, and is either an author or editor of a number of works related to classical education.

Bill Stutzman has engaged in classical Christian education for more than 20 years. He has taught multiple ages and stages, from 6th-grade homeroom at The Ambrose School (Boise, ID) to instructor of Humanities, Rhetoric, Orchestra, and even some Science and Math, both at Ambrose and at The Oaks Classical Christian Academy (Spokane, WA). He has also spoken and written nationally, developed curriculum, and overseen staff and students as an administrator at these schools and at Calvin Christian School (Escondido, CA) and Classical Christian Academy (Rathdrum, ID), where he was most recently Headmaster. Bill holds an M.A. in English Literature with undergraduate minors in Music and French, and he loves writing and performing music and poetry, reading, and learning as a lifelong pursuit. He and his lovely wife Cherise have three grown, classically educated children. He is thrilled to be partnering with schools at Concordis.

Board of Trustees President

Mr. Creason received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Idaho in Mechanical Engineering in 2006, graduating as a member of the Tau Beta Pi Honor Society. While attending law school at the University of Idaho, he participated as a member of the College of Law’s Mock Trial Team, and served as an associate member and then editor on the Idaho Law Review. During his tenure on the Idaho Law Review, Mr. Creason published an article discussing Idaho courts’ review process for local elected officials’ decisions, entitled Land Use and the Lost Promise of Cooper: What Happened to the “Judicial” in Quasi-Judicial Proceedings?, 44 Idaho L. Rev. 735 (2008).

Craig was born in the Lewis-Clark Valley and graduated from Lewis Clark State College with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration. He is currently the CFO at Potlatch No. 1 Financial Credit Union and serves on the board of Life Choices Clinic, a pregnancy care center in Lewiston. Both of Craig's children attended Christian schools, and he has been a supporter of Christian education for many years.

Michelle Pearson-Smith

Michelle is a Lewiston, Idaho native drawn back to the valley after a four year enlistment in the United States Navy. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree (2001) from Lewis-Clark State College and a Master’s Degree in Nursing Education (2012) from Idaho State University. She is certified in Acute Critical Care Nursing (Adult) and spent 23 years as a bedside nurse at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center. She is an Associate Professor and the Division Chair for Nursing and Health Sciences at Lewis-Clark State College. Michelle enjoys the outdoors, every kind of activity, and serving others. She is the mother of four children and although she has been career-driven, nurturing her children has been the foundation of her life. She believes that the gift of a Classical Christian education to her children will position them well for every opportunity and challenge in life.
