Joseph Roberts
Headmaster
Joseph Roberts was born and raised in Aguascalientes, Mexico to missionaries who helped start a Christian school and Christian bookstores. He graduated from New Saint Andrews College in 2016 with a B.A. in Liberal Arts and Culture, and in 2017 with a M.A. in Theology and Letters. While in school, Joseph taught at White Horse Hall for two years. After graduation, Joseph taught Latin full-time for two years at Logos School in Moscow, Idaho. He has been the Headmaster of Lewis Clark Christian School since 2020.

Christopher Schlect PhD
Christopher Schlect, PhD, has worked in classical and Christian education for over thirty years. At his home institution, New Saint Andrews College, Chris is Director of the Classical and Christian Studies graduate program. At NSA he teaches courses in history, education, and classical rhetoric. He also teaches for Gordon College’s program in Classical Graduate Leadership, he chairs the Accreditation Commission for the Association of Classical and Christian Schools (ACCS), and he is a National Fellow in the Alcuin Fellowship. He has many years of classroom teaching experience in grades 7 through 12 at Logos School in Moscow, Idaho, where he also coached a high-achieving Mock Trial team. Today he serves classical and Christian schools worldwide through his teaching, consulting, and training activities. Chris and his wife, Brenda, have five grown children, all products of a classical and Christian education, as are all their spouses. The number of their grandchildren continues to grow—a testimony to God’s kindness.

Lewis Dalbey
Assistant Teacher - Arts and Letters
Lewis Dalbey was born in Moscow, Idaho, and spent much of his childhood moving between Idaho and Oregon before eventually settling back in Idaho. After a combination of homeschooling and cooperative schooling across three states, he graduated from White Horse Hall in 2023. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Certificate of Music at New St. Andrews College. Lewis enjoys the study of both languages and pedagogy, with a particular fondness for Latin and music.

Josh Edgren
Head Teacher - Mathematics
Josh Edgren is Assistant Pastor at Living Stone Reformed Church and Reader of Mathematics at New Saint Andrew's College. He graduated from Union University (Jackson, TN) in 2016 with a B.S. in Physics. He taught math, science, theater, Bible, and boys' PE at the Augustine School (2016-2020), before moving to Moscow, ID for the Greyfriars Hall Ministerial Training program. While in Greyfriars, Josh taught for The Potter's School (2020-2024), Jubilee School (2021-2022), and White Horse Hall (2022-present). After completing Greyfriars Hall (2024), Josh came on staff with Christ Church and then transferred to Living Stone Reformed Church in 2025. Also in 2025 Josh began teaching the Sophomore Math Colloquium at New Saint Andrews College. He is married to Kelsie and the two of them are undaunted parents of six hilarious children.

Jedidiah Hicks
Assistant Teacher - Mathematics
Jedidiah Hicks is a senior at New Saint Andrews, the oldest of 8 siblings, recently married to Lauren, and founder of ETC Media, a small digital marketing and video production agency. After studying calculus under Mr. Joshua Edgren and the philosophy of science under Mr. Tyson Schlect, Jedidiah fell in love with the STEM world. This year, outside of helping teach math, working on his senior thesis about Galileo, playing rugby, and running his company, he joyfully awaits his first child’s arrival in November.

Daniel Goode
Head Teacher - Physical Education
Daniel Goode started working out at 9 years old largely over an arm wrestling struggle and never stopped. He is a Martial Arts black belt, New Saint Andrews graduate, father of 2, and general manager at Mission Strength gym where he leads both adult and kid strength training classes. He has a knack for explaining things in an accessible way, and he's always positive and patient. It's evident when he's coaching that he really loves to coach and genuinely cares about those he's coaching.

Tali Zarate
Head Teacher
Tali Zarate was homeschooled K-12th in the Classical Christian tradition. She continued her education in the Liberal Arts at New St. Andrews College, after which she earned an MFA in Writing at Pacific University. Mrs. Zarate taught First Grade at Great Hearts Academy in Texas for two years before developing and leading the First-Third Grade program at Lewis Clark Christian School. She has a deep love for children’s literature, outdoor exploration, and continuing her own education by learning right alongside her students.

Lauren Hicks
Assistant Teacher
Lauren Hicks is a recent NSA graduate, wife, and soon to be mother. After teaching for a year at Schola Cantorum, taking a year of Chenaniah music training, and Dr. Schlect’s teaching elective she decided to pursue education. Outside of teaching next year, she plans to write more children’s books, work in digital marketing, and welcome her first baby.

Sam Creason
Board of Trustees President
Mr. Creason received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Idaho in Mechanical Engineering in 2006, graduating as a member of the Tau Beta Pi Honor Society. While attending law school at the University of Idaho, he participated as a member of the College of Law’s Mock Trial Team, and served as an associate member and then editor on the Idaho Law Review. During his tenure on the Idaho Law Review, Mr. Creason published an article discussing Idaho courts’ review process for local elected officials’ decisions, entitled Land Use and the Lost Promise of Cooper: What Happened to the “Judicial” in Quasi-Judicial Proceedings?, 44 Idaho L. Rev. 735 (2008).

Craig Emerson
Treasurer
Craig was born in the Lewis-Clark Valley and graduated from Lewis Clark State College with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration. He is currently the CFO at Potlatch No. 1 Financial Credit Union and serves on the board of Life Choices Clinic, a pregnancy care center in Lewiston. Both of Craig's children attended Christian schools, and he has been a supporter of Christian education for many years.
